Guitarist goes from the stage to classroom

After sharing the stage with pop stars and television personalities, newest guitar instructor Chris Mello now shares his passion with his students. With a doctorate from USC and an extensive resume, Mello brings a variety experiences to the table. From touring with acts such as the Dixie Chicks and Natalie Imbruglia to studio musician work for "The Simpsons" and Taco Bell commercials, Mello said he tries to master whatever specific musical situation possible.

Pianist tickles the ivory to unlock his musical future

Effortlessly commanding the keys of the piano, music major 21-year-old Sam Salgado fills the practice room with a bit of improvisation. "I enjoy music. From folk to gospel, I always feel it," Salgado said. Growing up with a family of musicians, Salgado said music has been a part of his life for as long as he could remember.
